Barcelona, Day 2

Since my friend has been to Barcelona, only my sister and I took a hop-on / hop-off  bus tour around town. If any of my readers is interested, I would highly recommend this way of travel, especially in such a busy city as Barcelona. We went with Barcelona Bus Turistic and out of the three lines they offered, we rode two -- the blue and the red line. €24 (we got a discount through our hotel) included earphones for the audio tour and a ticket coupon book. Each line took about 2 hours and we saw pretty much the whole city. We only stopped at Parc Guell, which is designed by Antoni Gaudi who is a famous architect in the late 1800s. His work, however, is evident throughout the city, especially at the amazing Sagrada Familia Cathedral, which is perpetually under construction.
