These Days

I have to go meet my pastor at our church in about half an hour to talk about my new role as one of the Sunday School (Bible Adventures!) teachers. He asked if D could come along, too. I wasn't sure if D was interested in teaching with me, but the reason why my pastor asked if D could come was to minimize any speculation that hanky-panky business was going on in the church after hours; my pastor wanted to keep our integrity intact. That just blew my mind! After all, this pastor is a happily married man with four kids and he is just one of those good guys who can speak no wrong about anyone; he's got such a friendly and gentle soul. In this day and age, I guess no one is safe from potential scandal of some sort, even Christians.

But I believe the world is burning to the ground
oh well I guess we're gonna find out
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come
Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
let's see how far we've come
let's see how far we've come

I had to read that first paragraph several times ... at first i thought your pastor wanted to make sure you and D were not making out at church after hours, but that didn't really make sense. :)

Now that's what I call Adult Bible Class! We should have you guest-speak over here once in a while. =)
