Ten-Second Thoughts, Post-Honeymoon

1. D and I have different ideas of fun touristy activities.

2. Tourist guidebooks can be very misleading.

3. Note that Turtle in "Turtle Town" is in singular form.

4. Snuba diving is so much fun, but like rock-climbing and riding the Hellevator, it's one of those things I try once in life and maybe never again due to lack of resources closer to home.

5. Drivers in Maui are so much more relaxed and nicer than drivers in Greater Vancouver.

6. Macadamia nuts ARE cheaper at tourist shops.

7. Waterfalls look much nicer in professional photos.

8. Certain black flies are just as nasty as mosquitoes.

9. All entertainers ask "Who has a birthday today?" and "Who just got married?" and "Who's celebrating an anniversary?" then they sing about you.

10. I didn't get a single flower lei.

11. This honeymoon tested my "in sickness and in health" vow.

12. I get homesick for family and friends when we're having a good time; we'd love to have shared those fun moments with great company. Now I understand those "group honeymoons!"

13. God makes beautiful sunsets. (I'm sure He makes beautiful sunrises, too, but then He shouldn't have created sleeping in.)

14. Flying in little airplanes scare me.

15. Anybody who spoke Hawaiian, but has fair skin, looked out of place. I guess that's how some people view me speaking English in a church in Mission.

16. It didn't take me too long to get used to walking around with a bikini top on. Strange.

17. The best way to see fish is to puke on them.

18. Aloha! It was time well-spent with my ipo.
