That above is one of the plans we were considering. Thank you so much for all your support regarding the guestbook/house issue. D called the real estate board and they informed us that Realtor B and his company were wrong in calling the guestbook a contract. However, the board informed us that Realtor B could refuse to pay Realtor L, the agent we did hire. Right now we're waiting to hear back from Realtor B on whether or not he will agree to Realtor L's proposal to include her commission in the the house price. If he won't, then either D and I will have to deal with Realtor B or we pay Realtor L in addition to buying our house. If we work with Realtor B, then we have to be vigilant in educating ourselves to protect ourselves from any more deceit, now that we know how this guy works. Is the house worth all this trouble? After much prayer and consideration, we thought yes. I'm at that point where I have to start somewhere and this house has offered everything we hoped for in a house. Of course, time will tell if we've made the right decision.
